green 9- 30
fished green on thurs. caught 3 10 in. fish and several small ones. everyone we talk to were not doing much better. blue bird skys and north wind at 15 mph. but had to get on the water is better than staying around the house. i have a185 tracker alm. and i have trouble centering it on the trailor i ve put extra guides on the sides of the trailor but still have trouble. can anyone help me with this problem a product or tip . thanks for any help.

Try This
Try not backing your trailor as far in the water. This will get the boat on the bunks sooner and help center it. I have to do this with my Lowe. I just put the very end of my bunk boards in the water. You'll have to drive it up on the trailor but she'll center for ya this way. Also might want to get you some "Bunk Enders" from BPS.Originally Posted by dave57

Have the same boat and don't have much of a problem loading. Back the trailer in with the fenders just out of the water. Low water levels you may need to back it in just a bit lower.
Green isn't giving up many fish over 10". Fished with David Jones last Sat. and can't tell you how many 9 and under fish we caught. We did manage 50 10" and better but that was 3 of us fishing. Biggest fish of the day was 1 3/4.

Wiskers is right on. Play around until you determine the min depth you can put the trailer in and still get it all the way up to the yoke with the engine.
It varies on every ramp depending on how steep it is.
I also fished Green yesterday and it was tough. The fish seem to be real scattered now.
My brush isn't working at any depth.

Only 4 legal fish for me on Green yesterday too. Had to work for the 20 other little ones. Wind was my biggest challenge pushing the boat all over the place. They've also pushed up shallower than last week so it took me a bit to find them.
I agree that you probably are too deep on your retrieve. I have a glass boat and had the same problem until I got used to the trailer. Dunk your bunks then pull forward so the rear guides are out of the water, strap up and either winch up or back down slightly to ease the cranking. I tried judging by the fenders but my fender wells are rather high and was consistently too deep so I use my rear guide-ons to judge. I also launch at the same ramp every time at Green so I am familiar with the angle of the ramp and know how deep I need to be. Let us know how it works out, and if you need any other input don't hesitate to ask. I've learned so much from these boards and it's nice to give back when you can.
