    Default Green River

Going to Green River next moth for the first time. I will be staying in the Holmes Bend area. Any good crappie areas around there? Any help would be appreciated.

Here's some help... DONT EVEN THINK about going in that "off limits" cove they have there. I ended up in there by fishin along bank and turning back into a cove. 1 freakin bouy in the middle of a 200yd wide cove says "no entry". Argued the limited marking on a huge cove, and his answer was its been off limits for years now!! First, and last time I fished bass tourney there. $115 fine if I remember. I paid like $10.00 to mail penny's to them.

get a map and start on one of the 3 big flats close to the Holmes ramp.
Not sure what to expect in Sep. That is always a real tough month for me.
Good luck. You will like the area it is a very nice place.

I guessing it is the first cove on the right, just up river from ramp 1
Never have understood why that cove is "off limits"

Well, this was 1999, or 2000 cant remember. Fished Renegade Bass tourney, left at State ramp I believe. Went south from there, and cove was on west side of the lake. Supposedly there were large amounts of mussles in this cove and they didnt want to "stir them up"? Anyway, could be open now. Like I said, I will never go back to find out.

This may sound stupid but what is a "Big Flat"? I've been all around Holmes Bend and not sure what you are talking about..
