Default Green River with my 8 year old

Took my oldest to Green Saturday. Windy and lots of boat traffic. Only had 5 keepers, but my son caught a 13 inch fish. I think he's falling in love with the water.Name: 100_0745 (Medium).JPG

Nice fish and great job with these temperatures catching anything. It is great to get the young ones out on the water.

Good to see the kids catch fish. That is what it is all about.
Myself my oldest son (11) and a friend fished Green Saturday as well from 6:00 AM until 1:00 PM
We caught about 90, but only had 12 legal fish. Casting jigs
Been catching a lot of fish, but can't figure out where the big ones went.
Are they some place else or are the smaller ones just more aggressive?

Is the winter bite still good at Green? I used to fish it all the time when I lived in KY, loved the lake. The winter was always the best for me out there,

Didn't fish the lake til april this year. Green has produced huge numbers and better than average quality this year. Heading out again in the morning with my 8 year old and a box full of Bandits.

Hoping to take the wife Sat evening. Caught 42 keepers both days last Tuesday and Friday in 24 fow 17 feet deep on minnows. Let the bait fall to the bottom and reel up about 5 cranks.
