Ok I have been wandering something maybe someone can answer for me. Why is barren still 15+ feet above summer pool? When the other lakes the aoc controls has been down to summerpool for some time now. Anyone know the reasoning in this?

Yeah, like rowdy said they can't drain as much water for fear of flooding everyone downstream. Only dropping 4 to 6" a day and still getting a few frog stranglers to limit their success.
I talked to a water patrol officer and he
said until they get green river down lower than
usual to do some work on the dam
they can't draw barren any harder than
they are. I too thought that it may have
been the crop down at stream thing because
they did receive alot of complaints this
year on flooding but he said it was because
of green and ruff river lake was their concern

The Corps did not buy easements downstream of BRL for flooding. The Green river and Barren both were still running high and muddy as of last saturday in the Warren Co area.
