Default Whites and Stripers on KY Lake

Since it's been too hot to fish for the gills in the day, we decided to hit the whites again. Me and Fishtale caught our limits (15 each) of whites, hybrids, and a striper Saturday night. We were fishing jigs under lights. We waited until about 9:00pm to go out cause it was so danged hot. We ended up with our catch by midnight. It was a good night. Here is the only pic I have:

Once again we had a little luck on our side. I really enjoyed going and catching some nice fish. I'll bet that bucket with just heads and gut's was about 15 to 20 #s. Thank's again Mepp for letting me ride along.

I worked at the studio till after 6 then said the heck with it---I'M GOIN FISHIN! I got to the lake at 8:30 and left at 11:30 with a limit of whites and a limit of yellows. Lots of the yellows were small but I feel duty bound to try to get the population under control PLUS they eat GOOD!! I had a couple of whites about 2 pounds. I'm computer illiterate so I rarely do pics.

I was by myself. This was a shake-down run for the season to make sure everything still worked and if I still knew how to catch some. I am going to do some modification today to my battery wiring set up. The wires for my lights are only 2/3 as long as my boat and I don't like having to use a set of jumper cables to get from my lights to my battery since I sit up front.

Mike, you were right---GREEN is the color.

I'll probably take my Dad and a tag-a-long friend tonight if the storms allow.

Good Job on the whites/stripes. We only caught a few whites in the Blood last week. A CO told us they were more down toward the Dam. I am assuming the population is down from previous years? We did get hammered by some small yellows that were almost as small as our baits.

I guess I need to get up there and give them a whirl. I haven't been a single time this year.

Hoosier, you need to head to the LBL side down around Blood to get into the whites very much. There was a jump there last weekend that stretched across an entire bay.
