I was down there the day they closed the lake... was wishin the TVA would drop it a bit faster, but I guess they couldn't.. still had a good trip even though it was a couple days shortened

I was thinking the same way. We all crabbed about the water but maybe they know what they are doing....altho closing the lake was over the top in my opinion.

You may not but I sure will! I'll never pass up a chance to bust a politician's or bureaucrat's nads. They all deserve it any time we can dish it out. They sure don't mind busting ours.

Is someone on this site other than eager beaver insinuating that the federal government did something in the peoples best interest over that of a special interest group. I never thought I'd read that hear, maybe there is still hope for you all yet!

I believe the coast guard closed the lake, not TVA.

Plus, the release of the water is coordinated with the Corp of Engineers. The people downstream of the release has to be considered also. It truly is a joint effort.
