It's not high right now but if we get 7 inches of rain this weekend like they are predicting , it may very well be high next weekend.

Thanks for the info. As long as the fishing is as good as it was last year I'll be OK!!

    Cool Flood

Major water on the way. I'm still on the boat and they are forecasting a major rise on the Cumberland and Tn. rivers. Well over 360. And wouldn't you know it... They're sending us up the Tn!

I'm watching the news right now and it looks like Nashville and the entire surrounding area is under water.

Lake Barkley may look like Lake Superior in a day or two when all of this water hits it.

There goes the bluegill and cracker fishing during what should be it's peak.

Quackr what do you think the gills/redears will do with water coming up like this? Hold in they're spots or scatter up in the bushes?

    I wish that I knew. :D

I tried both last year when the water got up and didn't have much luck. What few I found seemed to be holding where they would have been anyway.

I was planning on going this afternoon but the water has jumped almost 2 1/2 feet since midnight. I would just about bet that the water looks like chocolate milk and that there is trash floating everywhere.

My understanding it is already 6 feet over summer pool and expected to rise several more feet. Good chance to make it to 370. I've heard anything over that is not measurable since it will be out of it's bank.
Fishing should be a struggle for the next 7-10 days. Many of us in southcentral KY can't get too far from our homes before having to turn around because of flooded roads. Nashville is ten times worst.

We'll be burning about 6 to 7 thousand gal. a day trying to shove north in this river. In pool water we'll burn around 2.
