I've got a buddy that's been at Hillmans for about a week. He's fished Pisgah hard and hasn't caught many. Pisgah gets hammered this time of year because of the camp ground. Don't waste your time in there. Either run down the lake to Smith, Duncan, Sugar, or go across to the west side. Get away from the crowd in Pisgah.
If the lake keeps fall'n don't waste your time in the shallows chasing the Blacks. You'll catch a few but it won't be nearly as productive. Find some stuff in 10' to 16' of water and go after the Whites. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if a man couldn't spider rig that range right now and catch fish. Some of the black females may also pull back and stage high on that brush so fish it top to bottom. Check the shallows but don't stick with it all day if the bite isn't there. Always check the shallow stuff late in the day. If the water stabilizes go check the shallow stuff. Just as soon as the lake settles down the blacks are gonna make a run. Bet on it. The water temp. is there.
Now we are gonna get a little cold front thru here on Wed. Highs are gonna be in the high 60's for a few days. The cold front won't effect the deeper fish as much so again... After the front, focus mostly on the whites for a couple of days.
