    Hi Fin,

I went through the same thing fin. Same ramp as well. I was in line a few years back and couldn't understand what was taking so long. Me and another guy walked down to the ramp and there was two boats from Ohio parked on the ramp loading their gear. It took me 45 minutes to get in the water!

This was back when the old dock was on the left side of the ramp. I fished a few hours and come back in. They had their boats tied to the dock and they were up having a picnic. I had to try and trow a line onto the rocks and step off on the wet rocks. I slipped and fell abck into the lake. I was NOT a happy camper! So it could have been worse.

With that said I guide as well. I have lived in Indiana as well as Kentucky. And let me tell you there are jerks everywhere. I guide people from Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Tennessee and Kentucky all the time. And they are almost all really great guys. I have had locals pull some real good stunts up to running me off the road while coming back from a bass tournament on Barkley. I was laid up for 2 months after that one!

Get out there and start catching them and you will forget all the other stuff!

    Good Luck!

There were a couple of OOS guys that evidently didn't want to brave the high winds Saturday but didn't want the weather to spoil their fishing vacation, either.

They carried all of their gear down (with chairs) onto the courtesy dock at Wildcat Creek (those familiar will know how small it is) and set up camp, then started catfishing... casting their baits literally onto the ramp. Keep in mind how windy it was on Saturday and the volume of boats coming and going at the ramp while trying to avoid banging into the dock. I'm surprised that I didn't wind up with an axle full of fishing line with a big gob of crawlers on the end of it.

God love 'em. Takes all kinds to make the world go 'round, I suppose.

I used to think that too, now I'd just like to see how it would go for a little while without them:rolleyes:
