I am wanting to come to barkley in the last week in march first or first week in april. I would like to stay in a marina or resort with docks. any tips or refrences would be greatly appreciated. looking for a 2 bedroom cabin or motel setting for around $100 a night. also any good tips on where to try to fish would be great. I have only been to barkley once and that was 12 years ago.. thanks again Andy

I can't :o ... ain't been down that way in many a year. BUT ... I'm sure some of the West KY boys can voice their opinion on the matter ... just give'em time to clean what they're catchin & sit down to the 'puter :D
Seriously though ... just hang in there, Ace... there'll be some replies forthcoming.

My wife and I stayed at the State Park Lodge for a little mini vacation last year. The marina is right there but i was told that in order to dock at it you have to a insurance policy for a bajillion dollars on account that your boat might spontaneously burst into flames and destroy every boat docked up.
There is also a courtesy dock right below the lodge that might be okay to dock at overnight.
What part of Barkley are you planning on fishing? This will help narrow it down for us.
The only way to have a good fishing spot is to make it yourself!
Pizer Point Marina and Resort is a nice place to stay they have cabins and a marina.
