    Default Great Day

    Hey Terry,
Glad you got out with your son. You can't do any better than that. Those fish were tough the other day when we talked. Hope you all had a large time today. Great looking son.Hope you stay on the fish this week.I plan on cuttin loose week after next and maybe you can give me a good report. Take care and play safe on the water. Looks like Merrit needs to give you another lesson........Ifish

Nice crappie and twelve is better then zero and you at least got out on the water. I am hoping to get out next weekend but there is a cold front coming in Saturday that will probably keep me from wasting the gas.

    Congrats on the catch, Wiskers.

Man alive, who threw the switch today? I had 15 yesterday and had to scratch for 5 today.

At least you got to go fishing with your son, catching the fish was just a bonus. Some nice slabs.

Boy it's been tuff. These fish have either moved or got lock jaw. I have been racking my brain trying to figure out a pattern.

First I was catch'n big white females on the flats and then big blacks females. Just reverse of every other year. Then I was catching a mixed bag with a lot of black males in there. Then nothing! They just shut down or moved. You can usually count on several weeks of fish crusing the flats.

Water came up just a little and has warmed about 5 degrees since I got home a week and a half ago. Fishing sould be improving.

Seeing very few gulls in the bays. Not seeing much baitfish in the bays either. Never a good sign for spider rig'n. Only thing I can figure is they have cut back on running water at the dam. Less current in the lake. Fish pulling back out of the bays closer to deep water. We haven't been having warm days and cool nights. Been warm days and cold nights. May the drastic tip changes ave bump them back to the security of deeper water. I've cecked shallow too. Picked up a couple of small black males in 8'. Nothing to get excited about.

I had to change tactics yesterday. I moved out to about 14' of water and started jig'n brush. Mostly white females.

Gonna expand my search today with Jeramy. Hope I can get that boy on some fish.
