Shawnee is close to Moors, we are going to be there i believe it is the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th of March. It's like a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Hopefully the crappie are bitin. Last year wasn't too bad, we went around the same time. Need a little less moisture, and some warmth, that's for sure.
Shawnee Bay is a great bay. I have fished it many times. Most will head to Jonathan creek but it is to crowded for me. When it gets windy (and it will) I have two poles out with kentucky rigs baited with medium minnows. Try to concentrate on 10 to 14 foot of water. Drift with the wind. There is an underwater ridge that runs north to south at the mouth of the creek. I stay inside of the ridge and drift toward it if I can. The thing shallows up quickly at around 10 foot. Also make a point to cross where the two creeks come together on the south side and exits the cove. It can get hectic from there to the ridge. Be careful and don't let anyone see you loading the hogs in the boat. The largest crappie I ever caught came from that area. I first thought it was a hybrid striper until I got a good look at it.
Those good ole boys can put away the barley water so you better bring plenty (like a truck full). Good luck.
Thanks for the update Pistol. Hopefully the weather cooperates and we catch some of that good tastin Kentucky crappie.
If wiskers is like that picture nI like him already nothing makes me more upset than someone being that inconsiderate of other fisherman , some in small boats . I been coming down for 4 or 5 years and watched this site before and after every trip, Ive seen wiskers offer help everytime I been on here . Just a little consideration would go a long way .
That was just a friendly jab at ol wiskers! I am proud to call him a friend of mine! Also, I try to be as considerate as possible on the water and have even offered my spots to a fellow angler if he needed it. You come on down, theres plenty of fish (and water) for everbody!!! And plenty of cold ones!!!

I like cold ones!!!!!lol
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.
