Shooo weeee, I got sick literally twice during the second half and had to leave to go vomit(no joke). I had a bad feeling about this matchup pregame, I knew we had the talent but I just had that gut feeling that it was gonna be a tuff one. After watching the first half I was on cloud 9..........then came the second half and when Wall started cramping up I thought it was over. Thank goodness we got this victory. For one, its North Carolina and we are racing to 2000 wins, secondly, its a big time national game and this will really help our recruiting because we will be battling for some while for the same players. Boy, I bet Roy Williams is loving that Kentucky Fried Crow after not even recruiting John Wall. Well, now its time to tune in for the Fla vs. Bama game. Go CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!:D

Jack, I know the story. Follow college bball recruiting religiously. About the AAU squad (D-one) and Brian Clifton, wonder if UNC will look t CJ Leslie or just pass him up too, cuz UK is hot on his trail too. That being said, sounds like Roy chose not to recruit Wall because of Clifton. I wouldn't let an AAU coach be the reason I let a great talent like Wall get away from me. Glad Clifton and Roy do have issues though, cuz that AAU team has some serious talent every year.:D Hope Leslie makes it here too next year. Remind me of an unpolished Kevin Garnett.
BTW. Before the game my money was on UNC winning, glad I was wrong though. I agree, was a great game though.

That was a great game. You just knew the tarheels would cut it to single digits. We are gonna be tough to beat by tourney time. Great game by the local kid too. Darius had a solid game.:D

Yeah, Darius played a solid ballgame, good D and hitting those first few threes was key to getting his confidence back up. Patterson did his thing as well, am very happy for the guys, great effort and they managed to pull it out versus a talented and much more experienced team.
Cant say enough about WALL, he is all the hype and some!! Smart, controlled, freakish athlete

Yea Wall is the man. And Patterson has become one of my all time favorites, such a class act. Now if the Bengals can take care of business tomorow it will have been a great sports weekend for our area.

EkySlab,No,we do not have any schollies left now.Barnes was the only one out there.I got alot of respect for UK basketball although i'm a die hard Heel.I honestly think Roy was more concerned about Wall's sat then anything else.I seen alot of these guys play at the Dean Dome in May.Leslie was a beast.He will be a good get for you guys.I honestly think he would rather play in state.(NC State had a good year recruiting,might persuade him to change his mind.) Cal will do a great job recruiting for you folks,he and Roy are leap years ahead of the rest in that area.He's not one of my favorite coaches,but I give credit where it's do.Tubby and Pitino(during his UK tenure) were pretty good.The Gilchrist kid is gonna be an outstanding player for someone.My son and I got a pic with John Wall during that tournament.He was there hanging out with Reggie Bullock.He really wanted to come to UNC,most of us would have loved to had him too. Regardless of what they say.Hoping you guys stay healthy and wishing you the best of luck.

Jack, w Barnes, Bullock, McAdoo ect.(Henson gonna be great and Davis is already great) yall are gonna be loaded for a while to come. I hope gilchrist makes it here, heard he is one of the better players in the country regardless of class. I have heard NC State has a good shot a Leslie as well. I really repect NC> goota give good programs respect where its due. Should be a great year for college BBall. Who knows might be a UNC vs UK championship. Lots of good teams this year, syracuse, villanova and kansas all look really good so far. Good luck this year.

Wall is definately a phenom!!! Glad he has Kentucky across his chest. I especially loved Rupp Arena today, they had plenty to cheer about. Glad to see us back in the discussion as a basketball power. It's been a while since we've been able to play at this level. Should be an exciting season!

yeah,that 8-20 season we had sucked too.Kinda makes us appreciate Dean Smith even more.(27 seasons in a row he won 20 games or more).Just as I'm sure you folks had to appreciate Rupp.The only qualm i have with UK basketball is that Laettner miracle.92???? j/k. IMO for UNC to make it,we have to a consistent 3 pt shooter.Syracuse killed us with that zone.UK,you guys just need to stay healthy,keep Cousins out of foul trouble and keep his head cool and you guys should be there.Stanford give you guys more of a fit than we did honestly.A good shooting ,well disciplined team could cause you problems,but they're isn't too many guys in college ball that can match Wall at the 1.Roy said he dominated the game today until he cramped and he was right.People do not like Roy,but he will not lie or sugarcoat a situation. p.s.since this is a fishing board,i caught some really nice fish today in a cold pouring rain.less than ft of water.58*
