Thanks for the welcome guys. No big deal about my pics. It was just my avatar and another photo of a nice crappie. Going to have to check into photo bucket like crappie pappy said to shrink my photos down. Had some quality fish from T'ville this year, and wanted to show some due to the bad rap it gets. Gotta fish hard to get a limit there, but the ones i've caught were very nice quality. My brother in law just got a little place on Guist Creek so i will be down there alot. Don't think it has a good crappie fishery but i'm hoping. Anyone ever fish it for crappie. I know it has a good bass population, but the crappie forecast didn't look good.![]()
I've fished Guist Creek Lake a few times ... like you said, not much of a Crappie fishery.
T-ville goes thru cycles, like alot of the other lakes ... but, it seems like T-ville gets way too many spawns flooded out. Probably why it's getting a bad rap, lately ... lots of "old" fish and "new" fish, just not much numbers in the "good sized" catagory. Best I've ever done there, was a limit of 15 fish, whose total weight was 10lbs (3/4lb average). I've heard of 2lb fish coming from there, but never seen them, nor have I ever caught any. I consider any Crappie of 12" or longer, out of Taylorsville Lake, to be a "slab" :p
