I got caught on Jonathan Creek by a surprise storm last year. Just about sunk my boat trying to get it back on the trailer at the "new" ramp. If it hadn't been for another boat that had been caught in it too and some guys that had just pulled up in a truck checking the size of the waves, I probably would have. I was by myself and there is no way I could have gotten the boat loaded without sinking it. It still took quite a bit of water over the transom. I had to time the waves and ride one in on the trailer. They were so big that the trailer was either completely submerged or completely dry sitting on the ramp.

That ramp on the north side of the bridge is in a terrible location when the wind gets up. Anything but an east wind makes it almost impossible to deal with.

The lake is back up to right at summer pool right now. Get ready for the annual spring see-saw.
