    Default Chickamauga 10/20/09

Thanks to Mark at Soddy Custom Tackle I went to Chick for the first time. Stayed 2 days had a great time. First day was tough but caught a limit on 2nd day in deep water ( 15-22 ft ) with one over 2 lb. If you plan a trip I highly recomend getting in touch with Soddy Custom Tackle @ 423-332-3401!

Thats nice of yall (Soddy Tackle) to hook folks up here with good info on the fishing down there at the chick. Lots people would keep thier lips sealed, and those have been some impressive fish yall have posted. Are they still on the same main lake dock pattern.

Yes dock fishing is still good the water has started down when it gets winter pool and stable the big fish will start to show up.

    Nice catch and report.
It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

When is the normal timeframe for Winter Pool ? Once reached, will the fish still be relating to docks (and if not docks, what ?)

The lake should have been at winter pool by the 1 or 2 week in Oct. but with all the rain we had here and north of us its keep the water level up. Looks like things are going to change fast its going down fast. Fish will move to deeper docks and you can catch them all winter but you have to fish the docks with 14+ water under them. You can also catch fish in the creeks fishing deep and the bluffs are good.
