    Can anyone tell me what is a close bait shop on green river lake? I put in at Lone Valley. Thanks

    Also ... I'm pretty sure that Emerald Isle Marina has bait. Or check out Green River Marina & Resort .. 2892 Lone Valley Rd 42718

    I always bought my bait (minnows) here in Lex. and transported them to GRL, even though it's a 2hr drive. I got them "bagged" and oxygen added. I've even made 4-5hr trips, to other lakes, with the bagged/O2 minnows ... without problems.

    the station as you turn off 55 has minnows , the one on the right did have them them but i haven t been there since they have opened back up hope this helps good luck dave

    If you go very early, there will not be much open. There are two gas stations as you turn in to go to lone valley. The smaller one across the road has minnows and is open around 4:00, but it is a little high. My favorite places are going out towards Holme's Bend. Green River Bait and grocery always has the best crappie minnows and a little gas station right before you get to Holme's bend. It may be a little out of your way to go to these other bait shops, but for the quality of bait that they have I stop and get bait there even when I am putting in at Smith's Ridge.
