Nice, that is the one thing I miss about fishing in my kayaks. I think I would prefer a tandem kayak over a canoe also. Kayaks sit lower to the water and seem to paddle better in my experience. Almost bought a tandem over the weekend myself.

Well I went ahead and added a tandem kayak to the "fleet"
I got myself a Wilderness Systems Tarpon 135T. While I'm sure the solo kayaks will get the majority of uses I couldn't resist having the option of taking my son or daughter out with me fishing out of a tandem together. I used to canoe some as a boy and there is simply something special about two people paddling together on the water that you can't duplicate in separate boats. Since I now like kayaks more than canoes this was the the natural option.
Anyone else have a tandem?

Had a two seater Ocean Kayak for a while and two adults could fish from it with ease. Yep, now we just solo and fish different spots together.
I'm considering a Jackson Tripper T. Compared to a canoe it's
easier to paddle
faster
much more comfy with the elite seats
Jackson Big Tuna…FaceTime seating helps when fishing with a young kid.
I have a solo pedal yak but also have a Native Tandem Fx15 that configures solo also. Good for solo camping but comfortable for me and the wife if she decides to join me.

Those Natives are real nice I missed a Native Ultimate 14.5 last week. I did pick up a Nucanoe Classic 12 which will fish 2 but have not got to take it out yet. Sold my canoes early last year and miss them sometimes...but I have used my kayak more last year than I did my canoes the past 10 years. Now the first 10 years I had the canoes me and my boys used the a lot. Kept them on a trailer in the garage with a 5 hp Mercury mounted between them, fish finder and trolling motor. They were the fastest canoes on the Tennessee River. Ran a little white water with them also.
