Thread: Hillsdale Lake

Well Lee and I arrived early at Hillsdale and there were still two boats ahead of us and two more behind us so I guess that means the bite is on! Ron and John were about an hour behind us but still outfished us .....they must have a top secret bait!? We both fished the bridge and dam and it was definitely a fall pattern but for us we used only plastics in a variety of colors....3/8 oz. jigs and 3inch baits. A very pleasurable day on the water even with Ron and John stealing our fish!The bonus of getting to the lake early....beautiful sunrise!Lee let me catch a bonus walleye for the second Monday in a row....what a nice guyMy wife and daughter got to choose between walleye nuggets and crappie fillets!
