    Default Clinton conditions

Yesterday water temps, 58 main part of lake, 61 in Marina cove..
I saw Chatt leaving, said he did not locate any fish on the piles.
I was on a mission to catch some eyes off the dam, but no luck up to 11:30 when I saw lightening in the north sky so I left. I'm thinking the slabs may in pre-spawn patterns.

I don't think we even get a "pre-spawn" pattern at Clinton based on my lack of success over the years. I would like to know how others find a bite this time of year because I am really lost. I do fine during winter time finding fish and later when they move in shallow to spawn but the period of time we are in right now has always frustrated me. I think the crappie must scatter into much smaller groups and maybe suspend in the water column making them much more difficult to find and catch.. Just my theory!!

Don, both are in the lake until APRIL 2nd then the shack comes out. It will take me that long to get everything transferred over to the boat.

Tuesday, marina cove cooled down to 54.7 I think all the fish went back out to deep water except for 1 small LM bass.
4 foot wakes on the main lake kept me inside the cove.
