    Default It's that dreaded time of year


    Been hearing a couple reports of Lakes west having ice on them what's the situation around here?

    stock tank is froze over....river is open. Hope all the ice and snow is off the ramps, we still have a few days before another cold spell comes through and puts ice on the lakes. Here is hoping the wind stays down and the temps will be above 30.


    One thing I did notice...the lakes that run through Kansas and end up with their water going south are not releasing any water. Maybe 5 or 6 cfs. Lakes are up 2 and 3 ft. I would speculate this is due in part to the Mississippi catching a lot of water. Lakes down here were really stained from all of the rain....went last week, could only see your jig 2 or 3 inches deep... (closer to 2).
