Thread: Elk City Lake

Shane, I went up there a month ago and scanned the lake. The river channel is very defined in the lake. I found little structure. Is this the norm? When you guys talk about the river, where are you putting in to get into the river? It was too shallow for me to get into from the lake.

Take 160 west out of Independence then drive north on 2500 Rd till teeing with 4600 turning left/west following 4600 to Card Creek.

Its a good but fairly steep 1 lane ramp that should be clean. Beautiful scenery and lots of trees... There are a few boulders out from the inside bank on the 3nd bend, (I think it was the 3rd) close to the channel. Either way, be safe and good fishing to you...
