I got there at about 1130 hrs. Caught a couple in shallow water, then moved around. Humminbird showed 80 degree water. I caught many dinks and just 3 keepers. My best luck was around what I guess you call cypress type trees (snag city). I ended up vertical jigging the cypress using minnows with 50lb braid.

I forgot my welding rod weights, so a few fish wrapped up in the limbs. They were biting on a slow vertical retrieve. I rarely got a bite on the poles that were left alone not being retrieved.

I often kept one pole baited with beef melt down low for cats, but no bites.

Recreational boaters and campers started showing up at around 4-5 pm. I left at about 6:30.
