    Default Clinton 5/2

Well been out of town all week and had to go fishing but did little catching. Went up the Wauky and the temp was 72 degrees and I caught nothing. Came back to main lake and it was 67 and caught a few females out in 4 ft but not much. One thing I have noticed is how clear Clinton is right now. It may be due to the zebra mussels. Too windy to go tomorrow.

Clinton is infested with those damn mussels. It happened to me twice today. Fishing by a stump, get a bite, set the hook, and my line gets cut inside of my loop knot.

    Thank for the report.

I am hoping to see some reports this week before Crappie Camp that looks favorable.

No fish being caught right now. Wayyyyy to clear. The lake really needs some rain to dirty the water up a little bit

I will be going out this week and will post results. I did get some minnows at the new bait shop at the entrance to the state park and the guy was real nice and gave me a good count. I am hoping the wipers start to heat up.

Was catching females last Tuesday and Wednesday spider rigging 4 foot down over 8-10 feet of water. North shore, water temp 60, sounds like the water has warm up a good bit since then. Will be out Monday and Thursday, weather permitting, will give a report one way or another. Work F-S-S, won't make Crappie camp.......oh well, the price of being about to fish 4 weekdays every week

That's a good problem to have.

I see a couple of thunderstorms are forecast so it could dirty up some with rising water.

Son an I were out last Wednesday. Had 36 and 2 bonus eye fish. All caught in 1-3ft. Found 68 temps on south side and 64 on north side. Since I hate spawn fishing I speed fish. Maybe could have done better if we slowed down but thats not my style this time of year. Might be a bad spawn as all females we cleaned had cottage cheese colored eggs with strong blood lines. Plan to get out once this week.
