    Default EL DORADO

Can someone tell me the best spot on the lake to fish. I have been going there for years bass fishing but I have yet to find any good crappie spots. I have snagged 1 or 2 at a time but that's it. Just like to know what part of the lake I should try.

Must be top secret! I'm thinking about spending some time on the water at El Dorado for crappies too. If I find anything, I'll post findings here.

Fish are being caught in the river channels and in the creeks. Not much action on the main lake lately. Hope this helps.....

Ran down to Shady Creek to get my boat this morning. Not many boats out, but lots of folks fishing the creeks as I came down 177. Boat is serviced and ready to roll if I get a day off when the wife also has one.

Spent Saturday and Sunday out there. Brought back 14 Saturday and 17 Sunday. River/Creek channels seemed to be the better spots. Fish were with the baitfish strong yesterday and were harder to catch.

I put in at Chelsea Bridge. Lots of boat traffic there. Also, it seemed best to go over on the lake side and try to find deeper water. The majority of the fish we caught were over 10-15 feet of water.
Hoping to figure out the trick to get more bites when the fish are showing up in schools of baitfish, as they were much harder to catch then. I think this cold front will keep them in deeper, open water for the most part.
Possibly heading to Toronto this weekend though.

Fish were hard to come by yesterday (wind didn't help). I fought the wind with the trolling motor long enough for two others in the boat to catch four fish. Found some fish on the main lake on the south side of the railroad, holding in 20-25 feet of water. The cold front last week must have put them off. Water temp was 55 throughout.
