Came across this video on YouTube and it looked really impressive. If there really is fish like this up there I might have to make a trip this spring.

It was for a few years yes. Appears to be hitting a down cycle. (iMHO)

    Greetings Criddy,

The Glen is at the back end of one heck of a good cycle. It is in a down turn for a couple of years. My average size for Crappie last spring was about 14-15 inches and did not catch very many of them. Never caught a smaller crappie than that. To be honest, I was targeting walleye at the time. If you notice the creel limit, it is very low in comparison to what it use to be at 50 Crappie per person per day. Joe

What's the creel limit now and is it still worth it? Thinking about trying some ice fishing this weekend. Coming from Wichita.

From the reports I've been hearing, not many crappie being caught at all. I've heard from more then a couple people and they've all only been catching maybe 5 crappie a trip. Have not heard any reports of more then 7 crappie being caught. All the other reports I've heard this week has been pretty slow. Catching whites, but just have not heard anything as far as a crappie bite goes and unfortunately, don't think we will as the numbers just aren't there like they used to be. Don't get me wrong, they are there of course, but not like the past 3-4 years.

As far as Ice i've heard 5-7 inches and only getting more with this weather. Enjoy it while you can!
