Thread: May be relocating to Kansas

I currently live in north eastern Nebraska but my wife may be transferred to Hays. Curious in learning a little about the fishing opportunities as well as any possible campground memberships where I can set up our camper and leave it there year round.

I have been primarily a river fisherman, with occasional trips to local lakes. I am an avid ice fisherman, but presume that will go by the wayside by a move south. I fish for river catfish and lake panfish like blue gill and crappie (obviously).

I do own a boat, but not sure how it would fare on reservoirs, as it is an older tri hull setup for the upper Missouri river waters.
