The 1st time you put a long pole in a fishers hand, their eyes getlarge. Tieing on a 1/32nd oz jig gets them
wondering. Telling them we are going to fish real shallow, their eyes roll up. The 'Tic-Tic-Tug' tactic is one of patience. While others struggle catching, you get your limit.
Lite winds and stable weather just makes this bite wonderfull. Most fish caught in less than 6ft with best bite in 4ft, 2ft down. With most of the area lakes up to normal,,,, lots of stumps, trees to dip. <*)}}}><

Don't overlook power fishing during the summer. Tie on a 1/4 oz jig and a 3" Bobby Garlan. Fish as many trees as you can and don't stay at one tree longer than 2 minutes or less.

Nice info, zipped to Clinton after work yesterday from 3-5:30 and snatched 20 eaters fishing similar to that. I'm not picky about the size of the fish, first 20 legal fish go in the bucket and I head home! Feathers work great this time of year!
Year after year, I hear of guys catching crappie in shallow water, post spawn in hot weather. I've only done it during the spawn. Do you guys just start casting along the banks and hope to find them, or is there certain stucture etc. that I should look for? I need to be schooled on this topic.

Look for a change in depth, say a drop from a submerged creek bed or a drop along a bank. Lay downs or stumps cam make it even better.
