    Default Glen/Kirwin

This report is way outa date as usual, the bite changes hourly. Was on Glen Thursday with calm winds(under 10mph:rolleyes. Looked just about everywhere West of the 'Bluffs'. Water temps still in the lower 50's. Very fustrating and only 1 white bass caught. Friday went to Kirwin. Winds came up and just blew us around till we quit. 1 white bass caught. Warmer night and back to Glen Saturday. Went up Mill creek. Tough to get in when winds are a howling. Tried tieing up to trees casting bobbers and dipping produced nota. Gave up at 5pm. Now that evening, I got a call from 'Marty' from the 'Little Bait Shop' to tell me they were catching in Mill creek from the bank. Right where we had been just a hour before. Then I get a message they were hitting at Kirwin. Anyway had a good time with just being out. Boat ran excellent and will be out again Tuesday. Up a river though. Good fishing to all. It's going to get better as it always does. <*)}}}><

    Default Glen

I'm going to add to Chatt's report for Glen from the weekend. We were up there Sat/Sun. Saturday we got on the lake and hid on the South bank, managed 1 crappie and a 19" walleye. Water temps 52-53F. Sunday dawned dead calm and we were able to hit a few spots on the N side of the lake where the water was 55-57F. Ended up catching 7 good ones before the wind came up around noon. Doesn't seem to be as high a population as the last few years, but the avg fish was well over 12". Easy to understand the big dent in the population after the last couple years of pounding the lake saw. Fish were caught ~10-12ft.

More of the same spent last six days there and crappie have been tough. Think allot of the fish are in the transition to spawn phase or staging which have found to be tough years prior at other lakes. I like to think of it as the calm before the storm.. Whites are even hard to find which I know Glen is chalk full of them. On a better note have been getting into some walleye here past several days which for me makes it to where I am motivated to fish. Saw a guy named Chatt there running around the lake the other day and was able to discuss some fishing with him which was nice as well.
