Thread: Bait Hut ~ Just for Fun Benefit Tournament

Greetings, Fisherfolk...

Upcoming Benefit Tournament coming for Kaw Valley Quail and Upland Wildlife Federation. They've requested Bait Hut host it again, just for fun of course. Don't have all the fine details done yet, but should get them real soon.

In the meantime, here's what I do know... April 14th, Perry Lake State Boat Ramp (same as last year's KVQUWF benefit tourney. So save the date. These folks do a lot of volunteer work preserving our Kansas wildlife habitat, and teaching young folks how to hunt and fish. We NEED these sort of folks to keep up and coming youngsters interested in the sports of our great outdoors.

Please check back for details in the next day or so. We'll have entry forms, etc, on our website. Last year's tournament was lots of fun, with good food provided by KVQUWF, and one heck of a great free raffle.

Takeoff 7:00 a.m. ~ Weigh-In 2:00 p.m.
Pre-entry Encouraged. Day of Tournament entries 6:30 to 7:30 a.m.

$70 Entry Fee Per Boat
Your Donation of $20 to KV QUWF provides many sportsmanship opportunities for youth, plus
Free Food & Raffle at Weigh-In with Lots of Great Prizes!!
Remaining $50 entry fee is 100% payout over 5 places (50/20/15/10/5)

Optional Big Fish $10 per Boat
100% payback - 1st Place

Due to the water level "issues" at Perry Lake, we'll be using the Thompsonville boat ramp for the tournament this upcoming weekend.

A fairly windy day... but hey, it's Kansas. Ya'll should be used to it by now.

Ten boats, payout of five places, good food and an excellent free raffle for all participants courtesy of Kaw Valley Quail & Upland Wildlife.... plus some money made for their great efforts to support our habitat and encourage young outdoorsmen/women to love the outdoor sports.

A tough day for the bite, but there are always winners regardless. Everyone does fish in the same lake.
