Thread: 2013 lake record crappie

Since my first Hillsdale entry isn't being legally accepted I'll put this 12"+ runt in from yesterday 2/5/2013. Noting that while attempting to quickly photograph and safely release fish they will often flop around and refuse to close their mouths and pinch their tails together for measuring purposes.

Short report it was a catch and release day that started right off with catching fish OK but by 9:00 AM the slow bite really slowed down. Didn't keep a click count but think I would have had seven legals with only one being of questionable photo worthiness. Continued marking and hanging jigs in around over and under shad pods with negligible success. Since the fish didn't want to cooperate hung it up at noon. Still nice getting some thumps and being back on the water again.

Its a little bigger than 13.5 but not quite 13.75
