Well, I'm pretty curious about this lake now since it's pulling water again. NO, it's not much, but it's a current. Past experiences have led me to believe that the fish will turn on. Might just have to find them all over again, which shouldn't be hard since it's so full of crappie. Last time the lake was down around 9' we started leaving the boats at home and fished from the bank.
I remember those days well, I believe those days were a contributing factor to my survival. I was really sick and the muscular atrophy left me almost unable to walk. And the LORD shined on. Dan, Dan the minnow man and I fished this one bank out NW and a 12' bite went for months. We set bobbers at 12', retrieved jigs on a 12' count, it was better than any spawn I've encountered at Milford. It was a single file line for my jig. I had this one spot and everytime you went through it or pulled that float into it BAM, and I do mean everytime, for months. I taught more than a few guys how to countdown fish there. There's more crappie in this lake than I can ever remember right now, it should be a slaughter.
