Default bad day sunday at eldorado.

very crowed and i was fished out from over 25 hours of fishing from tuesday to saturday. went sunday because my son was water sking with some friends. got on lots of little crappie but no keepers. knew i should have gone home. on the way thier traveling the turnpike my spare tire fell off the trailer (broke bolts) ran over it with the trailer breaking a light and a tie down strap. fortunatly it missed every body behind me on the road. after getting to the lake and playing target for all the ski boats and jet skies plus the wind. it took 80 percent trowling power to just stay in place. when i gave up and tried to restart the motor it was a no go. took 1.5 hours to work back with troling motor a very short distance. finaly made it back amnd picked up my son and headed home. only to have officer friendly want to know why my boat lights wasnt working as it was 930pm by then. showed him the broken strap from the tie down and the obvous break on the light. atleast he has a since of humor and let me go promissing to get it fixed. now my dad is coming up monday to go fishing and i cant find anybody who has the time to rebuild the carborators on the boat before then. so wish me luck as the kits will be in tomorrow. looking forward to crappie camp hope to see you all there.

I thought i had a bad day friday when my low oil light came on (broken system check gauge), then my hds 5 screen broke in the bow of the boat (under warranty still) and my terrova wouldnt kick on (also under warranty). Left with six over 10 inches... was wanting a few more but it hard to fish with no trolling motor. You have me beat... i can only guess how flustered u were... The carbs are no big deal... just make sure there clean and u adjust the float and the low and high speed jets to the manual and u will be good to go.

Are u sure its the carbs? Ive never had the carbs just leave me strandad like that... uve been running ur boat alot so they shouldnt be gumed up (and when i heard it... it sounded good)
the reason i ask is because in my experiance when the carbs where cloged up... you can still get it started by hitting the primer being on at least my engines by passed the low and high jets.
and if it was the fuel pump u could have got it started by pumping the bulb. Of couse if it was the filter there would be no gas getting to the primer or the carbs to start. Not trying to ? you... just sharing

And also know if u ever get stuck out on eldorado and cant get ur boat back... U got my number (ill be glad to help)

Good luck getting your boat back up and running. Can imagine how frustrating that must of been. Just they day prior you were saying that you'd only been stranded one other time and how it sucked trying to get back with a trolling motor. Must of jinxed yourself.

Some days are good and then some are not.
