Had another super fantastic day on the water with Ron M...
Catch lots of crappie dipping timber in 10' to 14'
Only kept the ones that we did not have to be measured.
Most were 11" to 12" .. a few 13" and I got a 15"
Also Ron found a new way to get his hook out of a snag..
He goes in after it - well I let Ron tell ya about it.
Ron had a heck of a time getting back in the boat
On the water about 6am --off about 11:30.
Had a great Time

The rest of the story, splish slash I was taking a bath, I thinks that how the song went. I had tied into a large wood bass and just put a glove on to pull on the power pro line, to hopefully straighten a gold hook. Lost my balance and felt into the 85 degree water, rod with me. Under the water head to toe, kindof felt good, because Iwas hot, bilfold in my pocket and cell phone. Trying to dry out the phone now, I think a new is in my future. My cap is floathing, rod and reel lucky for me was bobbing up and down. Had a hard time getting back into the boat, some how there be a ladder attached very shortly. It was my first time and thanks to Rick all is well.
Well 'ol Ronnie boy aren't you glad the water was 84 instead of 34.......might be time for a big ol pontoon with a big wide deck....the ladder is a must for us ol farts....nice job on the fish.
FAITH, FAMILY, FRIENDS & FISHING...... hopefully in that order but honestly, not always!
You don’t realize how hard it is to get back in a boat without a ladder at any age.
When I bought my boat the salesman almost demanded I have a boarding ladder installed on my deep V.
I am sure glad I was there to help.

Ron,
I have ruined 2 cell phones because they got wet. If you want to try and save it, take out the battery and let it dry. Then, find a spray can of Corrosion Block and spray the inside of the phone. Let it sit for a bit. Wipe away the excess Corrosion Block, replace the battery and turn it on. Corrosion Block is great stuff, but it is tough to find locally. If you can't find it, try Corrosion X. Arnie's Boats (Lawrence) may have Corrosion X in stock.
Good luck with the phone.

WTG on the fish catching and getting back in the boat.
The thing about a fishing trip is that there is always a story, whether it's something you learned about the lake or a fishing pattern or take an unexpected dunk in the water. Thanks for the story.
When I was at Wilson lake back in June we were all playing in the water around the boat. We had a ladder but I made myself climb back in without it to figure out how to and make sure I could since I do occasionally go fishing by myself. Stepping on the horizontal fins of the outboard sure helps get you back in.
