    Default Clinton 5/16

After taking the boat to the car wash after the camp at Melvern (Sunday) and then adding a bleach and water mix to the live well and bilge area I figured it was safe to go to Clinton especially after hearing all the reports of big fish being caught in Rock Creek. I fished a tree line with a yum curly tail ( brown/chart) and caught 2 keepers, went back over the same tree line with blue/chart yum and a nibble and caught 4 more. It was a slow bite with a fish here and there, usually only one fish to a tree ( just like the SSS pattern...maybe a little early this year) I went past the eagle tree (which has 2 immature eagles sitting in it and they posed for some pics.) but only caught a couple more keepers so I finished the day fishing trees in a south cove which was the better area today. Ended with 15 keeps ( two 14in. & a 13 1/2). the best depth was 5-10 fow and nibbles really helped today. A beautiful day to be on the water fish or no fish
FAITH, FAMILY, FRIENDS & FISHING...... hopefully in that order but honestly, not always!

Good job Slabby Joe. I've been at home still tending a sick kid this week. Did manage to drop by Bass Pro and pick up a long pole on Tuesday. Hope to break it in soon.
