    Default Posting Area water temps

This unusual high air temps are warming the lakes up too fast. Yesterday the surface temp at Clinton was 67 in the marina cove.
I was switching my winter pontoon shack out of my slip and putting my summer pontoon in my slip so I did not have time to go out on the main part of the lake.
What are some of the other lake surface temps?
Are the crappie going to spawn way too early this year?

I'm not sure what the water temp was, since I was fishing from the bank, but I hit Olathe Cedar Lake yesterday for a couple hours with a buddy. Fished a bobby garland minnow mind'r a foot and a half under a bobber and wound up with 5 VERY nice fish. The biggest was about a 13" male. He had started to turn black just a bit. A couple of the fish were females and they came in about a foot of water tight to the shoreline vegetation, eggs were still very firm.

On 3/16/12, Hillsdale was 60.7 in Marysville area and about the same at the Jayhawk ramp. It was so windy I didn't go anywhere else.
