    Default Clinton crappie location?

I'll be at Clinton tomorrow, Saturday, drowning minnows, trying to locate some slabs.
I did not have any luck last weekend fishing the standing timber in 30' water near the state park beach on the north side.
Have you guys found any patterns where the crappie should be at and catching some slabs?
Not seeing any posts on here has me thinking you all have not been fishing Clinton.

Did you try fishing the flats for walleye? Was there any surface activity from hybrids/whites?

That is what I figured on the whites.

I have made some small jigs that I have to try on the flats for walleye. Do you give them a shot on a regular basis?

Fished in my slip Sunday 6AM 'til 11 and caught 14 shorts to one keeper that I let go. Another slip holder had a 4" crappie at the surface when a big large mouth bass grabbed it and took all his 6 lb test line off his reel. You should have heard him cursing that bass as it peeled the line off his reel.
I have not been going out on the lake because my trolling motor is being repaired and without it is too difficult to put my 8' wide pontoon in my 10' wide slip with the winds blowing sideways without hitting the side walkways. Hopefully Arnies will have it repaired in a few weeks so I can go after the slabs at night with a light in the lake.

Fished Clinton today 7 total crappie - 3 that would have kept. Fished the trees in Rock creek...very slow and there was no tic-tic-tug the few I caught slamed it. Fished in 8-12 fow with jig and a minnow( so so count from the Miller store) and the water was funky looking...very stained...don't know if its an algae bloom or runoff from recent storms.
FAITH, FAMILY, FRIENDS & FISHING...... hopefully in that order but honestly, not always!

Partner caught a 1.75 lb and had 3 other nice ones last weekend. Fish were short striking some but had a consistent bite.
