Im a Kansas native, I try to post some, ask questions, and get some good feedback. Sure seems like alot of negativity on here about worrying if someone is going to take your hot spot. I have a boat and when she runs I might poke around at where I think some of you folks might have been. Doesnt mean Im right on the money. I fish Hillsdale mainly, I have my spots that I keep tight lipped about. I guess what Im trying to say is, I dont expect a detailed report with cordinates and all that. I just like to hear how everyone is doing. I kinda think the same about the rest of the folks. Just my 2 cents worth. I used to go to a barber in Gardner when I first moved there, just cause he fished, and he would tell me some spots and how he did. Kind of the same on here. Take care.

I'm going to speak my mind here so you might see it here in the morning or you might not . We are all fishermen and Crappie is our thing it is sad that we all worry about leaches yes it sucks but it is what it is . What really makes me mad is that the MO guy can have a cdc only turnament and have 23 boat show up and 2 guys from the KS board your board try and do a turnament trail and only 13 boat show up of which 5 of them are cdc members. I get it turnaments are not your thing get over it. All the new baits and all the new how to's you read about well guess what they came from the turnament trail. Crappie Chat he talks about the glory days fishing turnaments those of us that have sponsors have competed and won at one time or another. I wish the Ks board would quit sounding like a bunch of school girls and help each other out lurcks be damn . No I don't post alot about where I'm loading the boat (the reason is I suck at catching Crappie) but I'm willing to help anyone that ask. If you don't like one what some one else's post get over it (they can't take way your birthday)this form was built to
help us boat more of the fish we love to fish for . Let's pretend we'll all grown ups here and we all have diffrent ideas of whats a good day on the lake is and help each other out. If not just keep your mouth (fingers) quiet

I do not post that much on here mainly because I do not get to get out fishing as much as a lot of you on here work keeps me busy alot of the spring and summer months. I do look on here to see what is going on mainly just to get ideas I would consider myself as not that good of fisher but usually if I need some info I will contact Chatt either pm or by phone. If I have a report to put out you can bet it will be on here. Believe it or not I have learned a bunch about fishing just by reading the posts on this site I thought that was what this site is about. Chatt I do thank you for the help that you have given me and hopefully we can get out again.

    +1...I totally agree birddog.

Same thing goes with out CDC fish day at Clinton. We had less than 20 and it was just fishing for the day.

This board has taken a turn for the not so good the past yr or so. It reminds me of what happened to another local board a few years back.

I know this isn't popular either for most but I think a lot of it has to do with the off topic board. All of the issues started when that came about. Now we have a crappie board that is basically for fishing reports only and this is where all the knit picking is. You give a report and everyone wants your very finest details. Then if it's not a report it's moved. Its amazing some of the threads that have been moved like Antioch's knot tying question for his crappie jig. I think the off topic puts too. Much pressure on the moderators of what stays and what goes.

The great boards I am on now have a lot of threads everyday. And a couple have nothing to do with fishing, but are saying good morning or a good joke. There isnt a ton of reports on specific lakes but when there are its great job and not hey was that minners or jigs and if jigs what color and size of head and depth and what point? There is so little activity here now you should have more than enough time to sift through all posts in one area. I know this isn't the popular opinion but I think this is a big culprit.

Its pretty bad but this board has turned me off with crappie fishing this yr. I have done more bass fishing and joined a club to fish tourneys. This weekend will be the first time I have been crappie fishing in my new boat that I have had for 2 months. Hopefully I find a few, but I am not that concerned. The fun in it is going out and finding the fish on your own. Much more rewarding than jumping in on someone else's brushpile.

    Chadku,

Hey, I liked your post! At least to the 'bass' fishing part, Sorry to hear that. Fishin's-fishing and if you go out crappie fishin' and catch 500 whites or sack a limit of 'eyes' it's nice to post it. Right there, scroll through, see it, read it, post or not. Seems like off-topic kinda gets 'buried', no visual appeal out front. IMO The lurking thing, yea it sucks and yes you can tell when somebody cherry-picked your post. Maybe lots of falsified reports and pm the poster for info, keeps it C.c. I know I take some guys fishing from the board, I share and shoot straight, happy to back up my posts. And Chadku, I'm in a similar boat this year, but I've been learning the walleye thing. I need a crappie fix, my home lake just hasn't helped much. Love that 'doink'. Have a crappie day.
All lakes raise a foot when I step in the boat

Been on CDC almost a yr. and like Chadku said this Kansas board has taking a turn for the not so good....Hey I am new to crappie fishing and have learned a lot from reading on here and fishing with Chatt.

This is a fishing board to talk about fishing but I also would like it to be a place to make friends. Its always nice to have a few fishing buddies to hook up with now and then and have a good day out on the water even if you don't catch fish. Its the fun of spending a day on the lake with a buddy.

I would have liked to make the crappie camps but the camphosting has me tied down till mid oct. I will not let some of the negativity I have been reading here turn me away.CDC is a good site and I plan on staying around a while.

I also visit the Ok. and La. board and it seems like they get along much better than the Ks. group more friendship there.

I agree with you there River and some of you other folks. Like I mentioned. Sure I look at the reports, sure I dont report much. I dont fish all over Kansas though. I mainly fish Hillsdale. Melvern and Pomona on occasion. Like I said earlier I enjoy the heck out of this site I may poke around where someone says they are catching fish, More then likely Im not in the exact location. I couldnt tell you the number of time I think I have a top secret spot and guess what? It aint top secret. I dont let it get to me. I move on and find another top secret spot. Rofl. Thats funny. Its a coin toss whether or not Im going to do good. Most of the time you gotta worry about the dang boat running, or the dang wind, or storms. Too many things to worry about when you are supposed to be having fun. Life is to short. Good luck out there.

To set the record straight,,, I'm a guide. My job is to find fish Thumbs Up that my clients can catch. The easiest way possible. Numbers of fish is important as quality but numbers Doh count 1st. I expect most of my clents have boats & will return to fish areas & ways we fished. I HOPE Thumbs Up SO!!!! They pay for good information & tactics they can duplicate with some sort of success. I may hit on a very good patterns, reporting, that some may use Doh in tournaments EXCELLENT !!!! That's how I found this site in the first place. I WILL REPORT THE TRUTH!!! Good, bad & ugly. I care less about lurkers. If ya have a spot or tactic ya wanna keep,,,, so be it. Don't worry about it. When I tourney fished, I kept a LOT of secrets. To bad my memory wont let me racallRoflRofl most of dem. Anyway this board has a cancer & it can be stopped. YA WANNA TRY???? <*)}}}><
