Crossed the Dragoon today, water looked clean from the highway. Might just have to give it a try if the rains stay away.

Thanks for the responses. We went today and caught 40 slabs. Fish mostly 10 foot down in 15 to 20 feet of water. Females still full of eggs and some of the males were dark like they were still trying to spawn. Only had 5 big males out of the 40. Water conditions were great. We tried as shallow as 5 feet of water. Chartruse was the dominant color for the best bite. Hung minnows on the jigs, but didn't seem to make a difference. Also used nibbles, and the bite was about the same. Just a great day to be on the lake: Nice breeze, cloudy most of the day, no rain and 40 nice fish. Could you ask for more.
