LBM is correct. It is just a surgeon's loop.
I use it for certain things, but I prefer the non-slip mono loop for tying to a jig or fly. It's been around for awhile, but I learned it from a saltwater fly fishing guide. It's stronger than the surgeon's loop and much easier to tie, IMO. It's the standard loop knot used in a lot of saltwater fly and light tackle spin fishing. Here are a couple of videos:

I have used this knot before while its a good knot it does have its drawbacks when using with power pro 10/2. If the eye of the jighead has even the smallest of gap the power pro will pop through when setting the hook on fish sometimes. It doen't happen every hookset, but if you fish tournaments losing a fish for this reason can really hurt.
