I said I was out but the ignorance is killing me.... So you say "We spent billions on climate "science" I would like something for my money"... What exactly does this have to do with the current flooding issues in Northeastern Kansas?
What do you expect your "billions" of dollars do to fix the flooding issues downstream in Missouri?

Until we have the ability to make accurate long range forecasts the Corp will have to rely on historical patterns to manage reservoir levels. Climate forecasts remain more an art than a science. In theory climate models could be more accurate than they have proven to be.

Clearly even if climate models were accurate the decisions the Corp makes will be contentious. That unavoidably makes this discussion political and outside the standards of the forum. On the other hand science shouldn't be political.
