From your fishing experiences....

I was out on the Ohio River for a day of catfishing.I had just bought a new Penn 309 reel and Shakespeare sturdy stik rod and a new cast net for bait. I had arrived at the bait sight ,stepped up on the deck,reared back with that net,promptly hooked the handle on that 309,and threw it and the net into 35ft of water in the river. As I was trying to get over the shock of what I had just done, and watched the whole thing sink dumbfounded,I suddenly remembered the loop over my wrist would pull it all back,that is to say "where the loop should have been on my wrist." I dragged the bottom with a double set of treble hooks and looked for ever up and down a stretch of river but never could snatch it.
