    Default Way off topic

I wonder if this might be the most off topic thread in the history of this forum but it's worth a shot. I'm building a little man cave in the corner of my garage, about 15 x 20. I've been looking for a vintage turntable to connect to my older pioneer receiver. If you have something you might want to get rid of or sell that might fit the bill let me know. Just shoot me a private message. I've looked in local pawn shops, Salvation Army's and Goodwills, but not had much luck. Have found a few on Craigslist but are either to high in price or they are junk. Looked on ebay as well, same situation. Not sure what this has to do with fishing but I will keep most of my fishing gear in the man cave!

    Thanks

Maybe try this post in the Personal Classified ads? Title something like WTB Vintage Turntable? Will probably get it out to more of the folks on the forum!

I appreciate the info and you are right. However, I was hoping to find something within driving distance and not have to have the thing shipped. Those things can be pretty touchy if not packaged correctly.

Your looking for a turn table and I'm looking for an amp. Problem I'm having is finding an older one that will accept a turntable. The vintage stuff is getting pretty expensive. Another thing to be aware of is if it is belt driven or not. Broken belts are hard to find also.

Probably going to opt for a direct drive. Sound like Technics made some durable stuff. How big of an amp are you looking for? Just a pure amp or an integrated tuner/amp type?

Just a pure amp. The old akai amp that I have has shot craps. Was 200 watts but a smaller one would suffice.
