Obviously an over rated conference. All the Kansas teams played to their actual skill levels. They learned other teams weren't intimidated by them nor their records. No shame, they can try again next year.

I think the Big 12 had more "good" teams this year than other leagues but no great teams. The only true dogs in the Big 12 this year were TCU and TX A&M. Most big leagues have 4-5 bottom feeders. I also don't think a single elimination tournament is the best evaluation of depth of talent. Wichita St had a truly special team that got a raw deal on selection Sunday. Kentucky is the most talented 8 seed I have ever seen.

Uhhh Catman .... Texas A&M is a SEC school (sure you weren't thinking about Texas Tech? )

Yeah, KY is a talented team ... but they were rated an 8th seed because of their record of inconsistent play during the regular season. Didn't matter that Fla. only beat us by 1pt in the SEC Championship. Didn't matter that we were rated #1 pre-season. We got thrown into the Lion's Den Midwest Bracket ... among unbeaten Wichita St, plus Duke, Michigan, & Louisville ... arguably the toughest bracket overall.

No way the prognosticators ever expected a 7, 8, & 11 seed to be in the Elite 8 !! Just like no way anyone expected Mercer to beat Duke, then turn around & get stomped by Tenn (then have Tenn get beat by Mich by only 2pts).

    ... cp

Yep. Meant Texas Tech. Kentucky earned a lower seed with inconsistent play but they probably should have been more like a 5 or 6. Also think the 1 and done kids have decided it's money making time.

Not about the best team but about who plays the best in March.

Very true, but I feel bad for all th kid on the teams that lost key players due to injury during the tourney. I realize its part of the game but the injuries dont just hurt the player that suffered the injury, but all the other kids that worke their butts off to ge to the tourney.

The tourney was a big disappointment. I sure was hoping the B12 would have a better showing. I was rooting for everybody, but I guess I was bad luck...

At least most of the games were close, and a few were really exciting at the end.
I am just pullin' your leg.:D
