    Exclamation WOW! I seen it

A 24" fish at least. HUGE! I've seen some mighty big ones, but this freak of a fish has no comparison. It's tail stuck out of a 5 gallon bucket a foot at least. Why the excitement? Well, when they're quite common up to 8", yep, 8" and sometimes bigger but much fewer in numbers. Especially when the biggest I've ever seen was maybe 3 lbs, maybe. This particular fish was in the 5 lb class easily, and upon review would have been the new WORLD record, dwarfing the old by at least 25%. My first glance, I thought it was a buffalo. Then, when the guy finally pulled it on the bank I was astonished. That's a SHAD!!!!!!!!! NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! guess what? Uh-huh, yep, he cleaned it. 1 fish, a qt jar of gizzards with sides, I'm sure

Heaven forbid, I wouldn't want to do that. I didn't have a camera with me, usually don't want any evidence. I did my best describing it that I could, I mean after all it was just a shad, one BIG ole shad at that. Heck, the guy who caught it was telling me that fish would save him $40 at least not buying bait. I mean c'mon, buffalo vs shad, that's big.
