Red face New Years day ..Boating on Clinton

New years day..My Son Rob and I watched some guys put there boat out on Clinton.. Well try.
After 30 min of backing the boat in then out.. in then out ..breaking ice with 2 X 4 ..finally got his boat in,.
Then the only open water is around the marina, they motor around for 10 min,.
Then back to the ramp..It took some time getting the boat out / Icy ramp with a 2wd truck.
I'm not real sure just what or where they were trying to do \ go.
Some places the ice is 3" but other really thin.

That sounds like a whole lot of work to only spend 10 minutes out there. Really have to wonder what people are thinking sometimes.

This was not me...(this time)HA HA, but don't be too hard on them cause with all of this cold weather and ice it is very difficult to get that "THUMP" fix that we need. I myself am feeling a little cabin fever and doing anything outdoors feels good.. maybe if the temps stay down long enough so the ice gets thick enough, I might have to give ice fishing a try....maybe.

No need to wait it's plenty thick and the THUMP is there.
