Good to see that you got out of the house. We're you fishing the north or south end of the lake? I'm sure that walleye was fun on you crappie pole.
Hope you daughter is recovering well.

Shane, what types of lures do you troll with? We used to have decent luck pulling white or chartreuse bombers at 3-3.5 mph at Melvern but this year it has not been productive.
I am always looking for new ideas!

The Flicker Shads are a personal favorite. Seem to run very true right off the shelf at many different speeds. Echoing Shane's thought, most days in the summer you can't pull em fast enough.

I was back out there Saturday morning with my crew. Found a couple walleye but the wipers were just were I left them a week ago and willing to play. Speeding up to 3+mph did seem to help them from just knocking around the crankbaits but still several got off on the way to the boat. Ended up with about 10 wipers, with only a couple not over 21, and one bonus 28in catfish. By lunch time my wife was ready to go since her arms and hands were getting sore from fighting the wipers.
Very nice weather for July in Kansas, 60deg when we got on the water, would of been a short trip if I didn't have jackets in the boat for the kids.

    Thanks for the info!
