El Dorado

Well can't always post the good reports, sometimes gotta post the bad ones. Hit El Dorado for the last 2 hours last night and only managed one nice wiper, one small white and one huge drum. Didn't find any Wipers schooling on top at all and they weren't on our usual humps. Left me graphs at the house on accident so that did me no favors. beautiful night at the lake though.

Thanks for the report. I've been in your shoes, the lake can definitely throw you some curve balls, but will always lobe you a couple good ones sooner or later.

A trip to El Dorado isn't really complete without catching a drum.... and now white perch.

Thursday night, there still there... Took these two guys out and had a blast with the eyes. You might recognize the guy one the left as he is a crappie.com guy. Biggest fish was 6lbs and the other two were over 5. The great thing about these two guys were they let the fish go back for someone else to catch...

went out on saturday to crappie fish. crappie was pretty slow from 6am-7pm only had 3 over 10 (10-13-14) but caught a suprise fish. about 25-26" walleye. fatest one i have ever seen. he was extremely dark and had a bloody tail. no real good and taking photos why holding the fish. didnt come up very good.

We were also at El Dorado this morning. Fished from 7:30 to 1:30 for walleyes. Caught 15 total with a 25", 23", 23" and the rest were shorts.

Saw a guy with a long pole in a ranger fishing right outside the marina when we came in yesterday. Was that you Ragnar?

nope got a center console renken (white deep v) if you see it. it is either me or the water authorities (looks alot like thiers) which helps keep the jetskis away from me.

Yeah they were giving me a hard time for sure. There's always a lot of trash talking between us three. I caught the big one in the last hour we fished and they had each caught a nice one earlier so they were letting me have it most of the morning. As I released her I told team next time I'll fish without hooks so they can beat me.

I'm definately going to invest in a Great Plains Mapping chip.

Went out there Friday evening looking for some walleye and drum. Took about 10minutes to boat the first drum. Looked all over the place and zero'd on the walleyes but on the plus side the wipers were willing to play. I think we hooked up with a couple walleye but lost them shortly after. Lost count on the wipers but the biggest one was almost 25in. Trolling for wipers, only a couple of them still had the hook in there mouth after we netted them, most had the hooks on the outside of there mouths. You could feel the fish knocking around the crankbait until they grabbed it good or snagged themselves. Trying to figure out if we needed to speed up or slow down to provoke them to take the crankbait better. Most of the time we were trolling around 2-2.5mph. Any suggestions???

Took some time and dipped some shallow timber for crappie, didn't spend to much time poking around but found two keepers. Crappie nibbles were key, no crappie nibble equaled no bites.
Tried to get back out over the weekend but just didn't happen.
