    Default Invasion!!!

Opened the windows tonite after it started to cool off. I found out I have a hole in a screen that hasn't been used since last year. Apparently the leafhoppers have reached maturity and THOUSANDS came in to take a good look around. We own 5 acres of a Catalpa grove and the little buggers are thick. All I could think to do was turn all the lights off but one and go get the shop vac. Wife laughed her tail off but it worked. We would never have been able to sleep. Don't know if any of you have been in this situation but trust me I am not exagerating It was unreal how many came thru in such a short time. Duct tape patch til tommorow and a bug light on the counter to help get the stragglers.

Glad your wife was. Laughing. Mine would still be at a motel.

Yeah she took it pretty well. It was truly amazing. We have a cathedral ceiling with can lights and did not notice how bad they were until it was too late. They are so tiny I didn't think they would show up in a pic. Life happens.

Years back my brothers house got part of the moths. You couldn't see any part of the house, inside or out. Totaly covered.

We got lots of moths when the Catalpa flowers bloom but not enough to cover the house. Don't think my vac could handle that. Would be a cool sight/pic.
