Thanks again to one and all for they support. Not the greatest news but still hanging in there. most days are pretty good, except for the little things like telling time, decision making is still very very suspect (not just because she is a 17 year old girl either). Less and less pain meds required and she started to remember things on her short term memory better. Still a long road ahead as things still change regularly as the brain heals and swells again. and again, and again,. yes it gets kinda old after she has a couple of good days you better hang on because a real bad one is one the way. thanks to shane i actually got out to get avbreak one night to go fishing to relax a bit. (very helpfull thanks) leaving this weekend to fish a tournament on truman. Hopefully the wife one be to upset (speaking of prayer request)
she said to go. but it is taking a toll on her as she watches her daughter strugle to function on some normal task. Life will continue and prayerfully she will continue to recover more and more of what she has lost. Untill the time we level and then start reteaching her as much as possilbe again.

Hey Don I've been out of touch for a while and am catching up on some things. How is your daughter doing? I know this is probably the toughest challenge you and your family has ever come against and our prayers are still with you. God Bless.

thanks JD1 and the many other who ask and pray for her. She is ok.. Certainly not good and no where near where she was but she is also a lot better then she was. Most days she can function pretty ok. some days she doesnt comprehend much and thinks a lot slower. dealing with childrens mercy in KC for severe brain trama. She is better then i could have hoped for at the begening but still a long long way to go (she wont get back to where she was) to live a normal life. But she can function on her own most days and still smarter then dad. amazing what things havent got better (unable to tell time, spelling and vocabulary is lower) but her math skills have improved from where they was. Still having headaches and pain dailly. Starting anew medicine to see if it will help those things some. we can hope and pray it does. She has been threw a lot in 17 years. wish she could catch a break for a change. Thanks again for everyones concern it does really help us deal with it.

AT times it is hard to understand the why's and why for's. However slow it seems for the healing, the Lord has a plan. We never know what that plan is, nor the length of time it will take for the plan to come into effect. I pray for her health, and strength for you the parents. It's never easy to go through this and watch your loved live through this kind of tragedy. My prayers are with you, and may she have a speedy recovery.

Really glad to hear that she is doing as well as she is. Situations like your family's are what the serenity prayer is all about. Accept what you connot change and be thankful that you still have her. Looking forward to meeting you on the water some day. Take care of yourselves.
